Description:In China's labor market, more than 30% of college graduates have adult higher education qualifications, but few studies have analyzed the impact of adult higher education on China's labor market. The results of this study show that the academic background of adult higher education graduates is relatively poor, and they are more inclined to have vocational education background and rich work experience. After correcting the sample selection bias based on the unobservable characteristics, the income of adult college graduates is significantly lower than that of ordinary higher education graduates by more than 15-30%, and the income of adult higher education plays a smaller role than that of high school education. Ignoring the difference between ordinary and adult higher education among college graduates will lead to overestimation of China's human capital level, overestimation of the return rate of ordinary higher education and underestimation of the return rate of high school education.
